The need for regulating the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse environment led to fog cooling systems as they are more economical and can be installed in any greenhouse.

Their operation is based on special nozzles which with the use of water at high pressure produce water droplets smaller than 15 microns. Some of the droplets evaporate with a simultaneous reduction in greenhouse temperature while the rest contribute to an increase in the relative humidity. The type of nozzle and the automation of the system constitute the basic requirement for correct operation. A new technologically advanced solution to fog systems is the slip fog. More specifically with the Slip Fog we can:

Use plastic piping and not metal. The piping is easily secured and is also produced in white so the water doesn’t get warm.

Combine the plastic piping with slip on fittings for quick installation without tools and glue.

Clean the nozzles and use an anti-drip valve so as not to wet the plants.

Programme operation with PLC Siemens according to time or in relation to humidity. Relief valves can be used for better and silent operation.
