Bicarbonate produces a host of problems in irrigation water. White deposits on the surface of leaves, sediment in irrigation nozzles and nutrient deficiencies due to a high pH.

The Neutralizer solves the problem of a high pH in the dripper by adding more acid and simultaneously aerating the water through a special venturi. This results in a water solution with a stable pH and no bicarbonate.
